Delivery Trainer

About the role

Amazon is seeking self‑motivated Delivery/Driver Trainers to mentor and develop Delivery Associates across its network. In this role you will lead classroom sessions and hands‑on drive‑alongs, teaching safety, quality and productivity practices that enable associates to deliver customer orders on time and in the right place.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate daily training classes for up to 30 participants, including in‑station sessions and on‑road drive‑alongs.
• Partner with Delivery Service Partners, Operations Managers, Area Managers and Learning Teams to coordinate and measure training activities.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of driver processes, expectations and training requirements across multiple driver programs.
• Track performance, identify retraining needs and recommend process improvements for non‑CDL and DOT‑regulated drivers.
• Provide accurate reporting on training completion, compliance, safety and maintenance duties.
• Educate and audit driver safety standards such as vehicle inspections, hours of service, trip planning and safe road practices.
• Conduct on‑road ride‑behinds to assess adherence to standards and identify further training opportunities.

Required profile

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid state‑appropriate driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File (DQF).
• Eligibility to drive in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Self‑motivated, comfortable teaching large groups and delivering hands‑on training.
• Demonstrates Amazon Leadership Principles consistently.

Required skills

• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to maintain a Driver Qualification File.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver safety compliance.
• Proficiency in conducting vehicle inspections, tracking hours of service and planning safe trips.
• Strong communication skills for group instruction and coaching.
