About the role
AaraTech Inc is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Cybersecurity Specialist with 1–2 years of experience to support the organization’s information security, risk management, and compliance initiatives. This early‑career position provides hands‑on experience protecting systems, networks, and sensitive data within a regulated environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support monitoring, analysis, and triage of security alerts, logs, and events from security tools and platforms.
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and documenting security risks, vulnerabilities, and remediation actions.
- Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Application Development, Compliance, and Operations teams.
- Implement and maintain security controls aligned with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, track patch management, and validate remediation.
- Monitor endpoint, network, and cloud security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IAM, etc.).
- Support incident response activities, including investigation, documentation, and root‑cause analysis.
- Perform security configuration reviews and access control validations.
- Assist with audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO, NIST, etc.).
- Maintain security documentation such as procedures, incident reports, risk registers, and control evidence.
- Promote security awareness initiatives and best practices across the organization.
- Provide ad‑hoc security analysis, reporting, and continuous‑improvement support.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical problem‑solving skills, and effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non‑technical teams and manage multiple tasks.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IAM, and vulnerability scanning tools.
- Experience reviewing logs, alerts, and vulnerability reports.
- Understanding of network security, endpoint security, and access controls.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, and HIPAA.
- Basic knowledge of patch management processes.
