Software Engineer – Full-Stack (PHP/React)

About the role

MCR is looking for a full‑stack Software Engineer to join its Technology team at the New York City corporate office. You will build and maintain in‑house applications that power decision‑making across hundreds of hotel properties, working on everything from user interfaces to backend services and database design.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship end‑to‑end features across the full stack.
• Build and maintain API integrations and middleware linking hospitality, finance, and operations systems.
• Maintain, extend, and improve existing internal applications.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Revenue Management stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable software.
• Own projects from initial design through deployment, ensuring clean, maintainable code and thoughtful trade‑offs for performance and scalability.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience writing object‑oriented, testable PHP code.
• 3+ years developing web‑based user interfaces with ReactJS.
• Proven experience with the Laravel framework and TailwindCSS.
• Hands‑on experience architecting solutions on Amazon Web Services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerisation (Docker) is a plus.
