About the Position
Join the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) as a Customer Service & Administrative Associate. You will play a vital role in our Licensing Division, ensuring seamless operations and providing essential support to applicants and municipal stakeholders.
Main Missions
- Provide high-volume customer service both in-person and via telephone, addressing inquiries and resolving licensing issues.
- Perform essential clerical tasks including data entry, record keeping, filing, and information verification to ensure database accuracy.
- Manage financial transactions by processing payments and performing basic mathematical calculations.
- Facilitate inter-agency communication to assist applicants in navigating various municipal requirements and resolving complex licensing matters.
- Handle professional correspondence via email, telephone, and written mail while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
- Participate in departmental seminars, meetings, and ongoing professional training sessions.
Profile Required
- Proven experience in customer service or administrative support roles.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data management and record verification.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision while maintaining strict compliance with agency protocols.
