Community Manager – Leas-up – Ascend

About the role

The Community Manager – Leas‑up – Ascend will oversee daily operations of an assigned multifamily property, leading the on‑site team and ensuring financial and operational targets are met. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for resident satisfaction, lease administration, and compliance with all relevant housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing the property budget by reviewing financial statements, market data and historical performance.
• Achieve revenue goals by setting rent rates, collecting rent and fees, processing bank deposits and preparing monthly financial reports.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, code expenses to the correct chart of accounts and coordinate with accounting and ownership.
• Control expenditures within the approved budget and manage the petty‑cash fund.
• Oversee lease enforcement: approve applications, process renewals, conduct inspections, issue notices, coordinate evictions and collect late fees.
• Monitor market and economic trends, and implement short‑ and long‑term leasing strategies to meet occupancy targets.
• Promote resident satisfaction through timely communication, community events and responsive service.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing day‑to‑day operations of a multifamily property.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act and other housing regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage budgets and analyze financial performance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with a focus on resident experience.
