Commercial Real Estate Debt Asset Management Analyst

About the role

Blue Owl is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Debt Asset Management Analyst to join its CRE Debt team in New York City. The analyst will work closely with investment, portfolio, capital markets, operations, finance, and legal teams to oversee a large portfolio of commercial real‑estate credit investments.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and manage a diversified portfolio of commercial real‑estate debt investments.
• Analyze property financial reports to assess business‑plan execution and flag performance issues.
• Review loan documents for compliance with terms and covenants.
• Support senior staff with research for borrower consents, draw requests, property releases, lease and budget approvals.
• Prepare quarterly asset summary reports, performance analysis, and cash‑flow forecasts for internal decision‑makers.
• Travel periodically to collateral properties with senior asset managers.
• Coordinate with the investment team to maintain borrower relationships.
• Draft investment‑committee materials for loan modifications and work with legal on approvals.
• Assist loan origination by reviewing term sheets, loan documentation, and third‑party reports.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in real estate, investment banking, brokerage, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or a related discipline.
• Highly motivated self‑starter with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Data‑visualization and presentation skills using PowerPoint.
