Commercial Real Estate Debt Asset Management Analyst

About the role

The Commercial Real Estate Debt Asset Management Analyst will join Blue Owl’s CRE Debt Asset Management team in New York City. Working closely with investment, portfolio, capital markets, operations, finance and legal teams, the analyst helps oversee a large portfolio of commercial real estate debt investments.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and manage a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate credit investments.
• Review property financial reporting to assess business plan execution and identify performance issues.
• Interpret loan documents to ensure compliance with terms and covenants.
• Support senior team members with research for borrower consents, loan draws, property releases, lease and budget approvals.
• Prepare quarterly asset summary reports, performance analysis and cash‑flow forecasts for internal decision‑makers.
• Travel periodically to collateral properties with senior asset managers.
• Coordinate with the investment team to maintain borrower relationships.
• Draft investment committee materials for loan modifications and consents, partnering with legal teams.
• Assist loan origination by reviewing loan documentation, term sheets and third‑party reports.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in real estate, investment banking, brokerage, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or a related discipline.
• Ability to multi‑task in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
• Highly motivated, organized self‑starter with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn beyond comfort zones.
