Circle of Friends Care Provider – Part‑Time

About the role

Join the Dundee Township Park District as a Circle of Friends Care Provider, supporting elementary‑aged children with engaging, active programs that promote personal growth, wellness, and social development.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with children during program hours, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
• Facilitate age‑appropriate activities that promote physical activity, wellness, and personal growth.
• Build positive, stable relationships with children and communicate regularly with their families.
• Maintain a welcoming and clean environment by setting up and cleaning up activity spaces.
• Address behavior in a supportive and constructive manner.
• Follow safety and health protocols, including first aid procedures and incident reporting.
• Ensure accurate sign‑in/sign‑out procedures and maintain program documentation.
• Communicate program needs, concerns, or incidents to the Site Coordinator and collaborate with Park District and School District staff.

Required profile

• Experience working with or leading children/youth activities.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Professionalism, patience, and empathy in handling situations.
• Reliability, responsibility, and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Basic first aid knowledge (training provided if not certified).
