CAD Technician – DMLSS/LogiCole Drawing Support (Remote)

About the role

Midnight Sun is looking for a CAD Technician to provide drawing support for the Walter Reed Army Medical Center project. The role is remote and involves creating, modifying, and managing facility and infrastructure drawings using CAD software.

Key responsibilities

• Update architectural and infrastructure as‑built drawings to reflect additions, relocations, and modifications.
• Maintain associated text such as asset numbers, room numbers, areas, finishes, and room names per DHA policies.
• Validate project room information against Medical Health Systems Space Planning Criteria.
• Enter and update room and facility data in the DMLSS/LogiCole system following DHA‑FE SOPs.
• Upload and link drawing elements to DMLSS/LogiCole and manage files using DHA naming conventions.
• Produce Record Drawings by red‑lining IFC files and upload them to the MARS database with required metadata.
• Update fire protection and life‑safety drawings to reflect as‑built conditions.
• Collaborate with Data Entry Clerks and Quality Control Technicians to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Convert PDF scans to CAD formats when digital drawings are unavailable.
• Travel to project sites when needed to collect digital files or scan paper drawings.

Required profile

• Experience providing CAD and technical drawing support for medical or similar facilities.
• Ability to work remotely and communicate changes via phone, web conference, email, or fax.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit.
• Experience using DMLSS/LogiCole systems.
• Familiarity with the MARS database for drawing management.
• Ability to convert PDF scans to CAD formats.
• Knowledge of DHA policies, AEC standards, and fire protection drawing conventions.
