About the role
Applied Controls, a SunSource company, is seeking an Automation Technician to support the Solutions Department in building and installing automated systems, primarily focused on robotics and industrial vision. The role involves on‑site installation, wiring, and testing of equipment to meet customer specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Construct and wire automation solutions according to system designs.
- Read, modify, and interpret electrical schematics.
- Perform intermediate 3D CAD design for system components.
- Program industrial hardware at a basic level.
- Manage on‑site installations and maintain clear customer communication.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing as defined in project scope.
Required profile
- Three years of industry experience in automation or related fields.
- Strong willingness to learn new hardware and software technologies.
Required skills
- Electrical schematics reading and modification
- Intermediate 3D CAD modeling
- Basic programming of industrial hardware
