Assistant Professor, Veterans Legal Services Clinic (9‑month)

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law is seeking a tenure‑track Assistant Professor to lead its Veterans Legal Services Clinic. This nine‑month, full‑time position involves teaching, supervising law students, and directing the clinical program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum for the Veterans Legal Services Clinic.
• Supervise and mentor law students providing hands‑on legal services to veterans.
• Manage clinic operations, including case intake, client interaction, and compliance with accreditation standards.
• Engage in scholarly activities and contribute to the law school’s academic mission.

Required profile

• J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Admission to the practice of law and good standing in at least one state or the District of Columbia.
• Admission to the Arkansas bar or eligibility for admission within one year of hire.
• Veterans Affairs (VA) accreditation or eligibility to apply upon hiring.
• Strong writing and interpersonal abilities.
