Assistant Procurement Manager

About the role

WSP is seeking an Assistant Procurement Manager to support utility and power delivery projects across the United States. The role works in a fast‑paced, project‑focused environment, collaborating with project management, engineering, construction and internal procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of materials, equipment and services.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities for equipment, materials and services, including framework, competitive bid, sole‑source and delegated purchases.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project scope, schedule, risk and cost objectives.
• Prepare and issue RFPs, develop bid packages, evaluate proposals and select suppliers.
• Negotiate commercial terms for capital projects under general supervision.
• Prepare procurement documentation such as justifications, approvals, sole‑source records and technical evaluations.
• Support project managers with procurement compliance and expediting requirements.
