Assistant Community Manager (Property Management)

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of Sundance Apartments. This full‑time position involves handling daily accounting tasks, rent collection, and using property‑management software to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments.
• Prepare daily bank deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and process invoices and payables.
• Generate monthly close‑out and financial reports.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite to record transactions, update records, and maintain system integrity.
• Review resident files for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Review and submit vendor invoices for payment after verification.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of related experience in property management or real‑estate accounting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfort handling difficult conversations while maintaining compliance and integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi property‑management software (preferred).
• Experience using OneSite or similar property‑management platforms.
• Basic accounting and bookkeeping competencies.
