About the role
The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi invites applications for a non‑tenure‑track Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing Education, beginning as early as Spring 2027. This is a nine‑month academic appointment, with possible summer work, based on the Corpus Christi campus and requiring on‑site presence.
Key responsibilities
- Teach didactic and clinical nursing courses, including skills and simulation labs.
- Provide student support through mentoring, advising, recruitment, and clinical placement coordination.
- Participate in curriculum development, course management, and student assessment.
- Engage in committee work, accreditation processes, and program‑assessment activities.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience.
- Current unencumbered RN or APRN license in Texas (or eligibility at hire).
- For APRN candidates, current board certification (AANP or ANCC).
- Preferred: 1‑2 years of academic teaching experience and experience with health‑care simulations.
