Assembly & Test Technician III – 1st Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking an Assembly & Test (A&T) Technician III for its Space and Defense Group in Niagara Falls, NY. The role is full‑time on the 1st shift, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager and involves hands‑on work in a shop and laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform harnessing, crimping and soldering while maintaining NASA and J‑STD certifications.
• Conduct pressure testing, leak checks, electrical testing and flushing/cleanliness inspections.
• Use portable instruments to troubleshoot and repair assemblies.
• Operate gauges, flow meters, torque wrenches and other mechanical measuring equipment.
• Read mechanical drawings and follow controlled documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• At least three years of relevant assembly and test experience.
• Capability to perform basic arithmetic and handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb.
• Medical clearance including blood work, pulmonary function testing and fit testing.

Required skills

• Harnessing, crimping and soldering techniques.
• Pressure, leak and electrical testing procedures.
• Portable instrument troubleshooting.
• Operation of gauges, flow meters and torque wrenches.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
• Safe handling of electricity, chemicals, gases and cryogenic fluids.
