Associate Project Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking an Associate Project Engineer to serve as the technical lead and primary customer contact for design, development, and production of space propulsion hardware. The role is based onsite at the Niagara Falls, NY facility and supports the Engines Business Unit delivering rocket engines, propellant tanks, and propulsion systems.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical point of contact for customers on space propulsion hardware projects.
• Coordinate designers, drafters, technicians, analysts, and other team members to ensure successful project execution.
• Share responsibility with the program manager for meeting cost and schedule targets.
• Provide facilitative leadership between program management, quality, and operations groups.
• Prepare engineering reports and models related to assigned projects.
• Travel between Niagara Falls and East Aurora facilities as program needs dictate.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred).
• At least three years of product or project engineering experience with a proven track record.
• Experience interfacing with customers and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a solid technical foundation.
• Self‑starting attitude and willingness to own all aspects of assigned projects.
• Ability to pass a full physical examination and obtain U.S. security clearance.
