About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Forklift Mechanic for its Service Center in Colonial Heights, VA. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $31.14‑$34.45 and a week of vacation after 90 days of employment.
Key responsibilities
- Rebuild, repair, and maintain forklifts, pallet jacks, and hydraulic lifts.
- Perform other duties as required by management.
Required profile
- Clean driving record for the past five years.
- At least three years of experience repairing/maintaining industrial fork trucks.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lb.
- Self‑motivated and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Industrial fork truck repair and maintenance.
- Electric and manual pallet jack repair/maintenance.
- Aerial lift repair/maintenance (preferred).
- Computer proficiency for creating repair work orders.
- Own tools on site (company provides specialized tools).
