ArcGIS Analyst

About the role

The State of New York is seeking an experienced ArcGIS Analyst to lead geospatial data projects. You will work with large datasets, develop mapping solutions, and support decision‑making through advanced spatial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Geocode and clean spatial data for a variety of government initiatives.
• Develop and automate geospatial analysis workflows using ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
• Manage large datasets in Microsoft Excel and integrate publicly available data sources.
• Create, maintain, and publish maps and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Document processes, standards, and best practices for GIS operations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into GIS solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in geocoding and geospatial programming.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
• Experience handling large datasets using Microsoft Excel.
• Proven ability to source and integrate publicly available geospatial data.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software.
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• ESRI ArcGIS Pro Associate Certification is required.
