About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach courses within the Counseling and Counselor Education tracks of the School of Counseling, Human Performance, and Rehabilitation. This part‑time appointment (0.25 FTE) involves delivering one class per semester and contributes to the university’s mission of providing high‑quality, accessible education.
Key responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and deliver undergraduate or graduate counseling courses.
- Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects.
- Maintain course materials and grading records in compliance with university policies.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development as needed.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Counseling, Counselor Education, or a closely related field (CACREP‑accredited program preferred).
- Valid state license in the applicable counseling field.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a higher‑education setting.
