Youth Sports Coach (After-School, Indianapolis)

About the role

Amazing Athletes, a provider of sport enrichment programs for children aged 2-12, is looking for a part-time After-School Youth Sports Coach in Indianapolis. You will deliver fun, engaging multi-sport lessons in a non-competitive setting to children aged 3-8.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 10 different sports lessons, such as soccer, basketball and tennis, to children aged 3-8 in a supportive environment
• Teach lessons on nutrition and muscle groups to build motor skills, physical literacy and health
• Create and run engaging lesson plans
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and staff
• Manage classrooms, materials and equipment
• Keep every child safe, happy and comfortable
• Monitor and evaluate progress and give feedback to parents

Required profile

• Experience working with children under 12
• 18 years old or older; minimum education GED or high school graduate
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to engage children aged 3-8
• Availability for at least 2 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) afternoons from 3pm to 6pm
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel across the greater Indianapolis area, mostly within the 46260 zip code
