Maternal/Child Clinical Nursing Instructor (Part-Time)

About the role

Chamberlain University, the largest nursing school in the country, is looking for a Part-Time Visiting Professor to teach maternal and child clinical nursing in its Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in Indianapolis, Indiana. Key responsibilities

• Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes and course objectives through clinical teaching.
• Plan clinical experiences and supervise and evaluate nursing students delivering care to individuals or groups.
• Provide documented feedback on student performance and offer remediation when needed.
• Develop and post written clinical assignments and return homework, quizzes, tests and clinical paperwork in a timely way.
• Keep current on agency and clinical policies and procedures with the help of agency personnel.
• Contribute to program and College development, participate in assessment and retention efforts, and act as a professional role model.
• May teach didactic course content under the supervision of the course coordinator.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Nursing (required).
• At least 2 years of recent nursing practice experience as a registered nurse.
• Professional Nurse licensure in the state of practice.
• Excellent communication skills, initiative and prudent judgment.

What we offer

• Pay of $715 to $1,950 per earned credit hour for online positions, or $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment for campus positions, depending on education and experience.
