Part-Time Youth Sports Coach (Ages 3-6)

About the role

Amazing Athletes is a sports-based enrichment program offering flexible schedules and a pathway for growth, and is looking for early-childhood teachers and coaches to be the face of the company. As a part-time Sports Coach, you will teach the basic fundamentals of 10 sports according to the weekly curriculum, to children aged 3 to 6, in childcare centers across the territory.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the basics of 10 sports following the weekly Amazing Athletes curriculum to children aged 3 to 6.
• Begin with training in the Amazing Athletes methods, then run demonstrations, start new classes, enroll students and grow classes.
• Act as the front line of the program in each class, interacting daily with parents, teachers, directors and children.
• Conduct or assist classes in an organized, structured and fun way, arriving early and prepared (including commute time).
• Take responsibility for children under your direct supervision.
• Communicate issues clearly to the office and propose solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date class rosters.

Required profile

• Qualified, experienced early-childhood teacher or coach.
• Passion for developing children's confidence, teamwork and active play and fitness.
• Schedule of 20-30 hours per week, with classes from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm.
