Yard Operator – Night Shift

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Yard Operator to work the night shift at Select Chemistry. The role involves monitoring the yard and surrounding grounds to protect company assets, ensure safety, and support efficient logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized or unlawful entry.
• Patrol the site on foot or in a vehicle, observing and reporting any suspicious activity.
• Greet and direct visitors, issue temporary IDs, and maintain a visitor log.
• Stage deliveries, package products, and perform inspections in accordance with safety policies and regulations.
• Carry out routine facility maintenance and general housekeeping to preserve yard integrity.
• Demonstrate safety leadership, coaching staff and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Perform any special duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Ability to follow instructions from truck drivers and other personnel.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and variable night‑shift schedules.
• Physical capability to perform duties safely and without difficulty.
• Experience with warehouse tasks such as receiving shipments, organizing storage, and maintaining grounds.
• Understanding of container labeling and associated product hazards.
