Working Supervisor / Pellet Mill Operator

About the role

Energy Pellets of America is seeking a Working Supervisor / Pellet Mill Operator for the 2nd shift (2:00 pm‑10:30 pm, Monday‑Friday). The role combines supervisory duties with hands‑on operation of pellet mill equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage 2nd‑shift employee schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to maximize productivity.
• Operate the pellet mill, bagging machine, shrink‑wrap equipment and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Conduct quality control checks on pellets for length, color, durability and moisture.
• Adjust plant processes to improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Use forklifts and material‑handling equipment for material movement and storage.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic with reliable attendance.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lb and stand on concrete for extended periods.
• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to read a micrometer and perform basic equipment troubleshooting.

Required skills

• Machine operating experience.
• Computer experience.
• Forklift operation.
• Ability to read and count measurements.
