Workforce Data Analytics Specialist

About the role

The Workforce Data Analytics Specialist supports data‑driven decision‑making for the Technical College System of Georgia’s Office of Workforce Development. The role ensures data quality, analyzes workforce performance, and creates reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for leadership and program teams.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain data governance procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of performance data across multiple workforce systems.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data summaries using Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and other analytical tools.
• Analyze workforce and program data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Support preparation and validation of federal and state workforce program reporting, including apprenticeship and WIOA requirements.
• Translate complex data findings into clear visualizations and presentations for diverse audiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, data science, statistics, information systems, economics, education, business, public administration, public policy, workforce development, or related field, plus two years relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.
• Knowledge of Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) and U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Programs.
