Workforce and Rewards Summer Associate (MBA or Master's Track) - Los Angeles

About the role

Marsh Workforce and Rewards, part of the People and Investments business, is hiring a Summer Associate for its Los Angeles office. The role sits within the Workforce and Rewards team and is hybrid, with at least three days a week in the office. It suits a first-year MBA or Master's student who wants to work with clients across industries and contribute to project teams that design strategic workforce solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work with a project team on strategy, project timelines and budgets, and conduct client research
• Help prepare client communications and presentations, including recommendations for boards of directors, executives, senior management and HR leaders
• Take part in client engagement meetings and presentations
• Review clients' strategic business objectives and their implications for rewards, leadership, organization performance and HR policies
• Research and analyse industry and organisation-specific issues such as compensation and rewards trends, global expansion and career management best practices
• Guide and train less experienced colleagues on Marsh People and Investments tools and methodologies

Required profile

• Progress toward first-year completion of an MBA or master's degree, graduating December 2027 or Spring 2028
• Significant coursework in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, HR and/or accounting
• At least three years of relevant work experience
• Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple competing deadlines
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship

Required skills

• Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Data analysis, project management and presentation design
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail
