Workday Financials Functional Consultant

About the role

Next Generation, Inc. is looking for an experienced Workday Financials Functional Consultant to lead the implementation and optimization of Workday Financial modules for a variety of clients. This fully remote position focuses on translating business needs into effective Workday solutions that improve efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyze functional requirements from business users for Workday Financials.
• Design, configure, and test Workday Financial modules such as Accounting, AP, AR, Asset Management, and Cash Management.
• Participate in full‑cycle implementations, including data conversion, UAT, and go‑live support.
• Recommend process improvements and automation using Workday best practices.
• Develop training materials, conduct user training, and provide post‑implementation support.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration with other enterprise systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and create custom reports and dashboards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with Workday Financials, including at least two full‑cycle implementations.
• Strong understanding of financial operations and accounting principles.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Workday Financials certification.
