About the role
The Residential Student Technician (RST) position supports the Office of Housing & Residence Life with daily operations, providing customer service, administrative assistance, and event support to create a safe and welcoming campus community.
Key responsibilities
- Provide front‑desk service, answer phones, emails and general housing inquiries.
- Assist with residence hall opening, closing, move‑in/move‑out processes and event set‑up/tear‑down.
- Support educational, social and departmental events, report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality, comply with FERPA and university policies, and complete special projects as assigned.
Required profile
- Current Prairie View A&M University student eligible for Federal Work‑Study.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, good disciplinary standing, and ability to work up to 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong interpersonal communication, dependable, organized and professional.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
