About the role
The University of Miami is seeking Lifeguards for its natatorium during the winter break period (December 9 – January 12). This part‑time, temporary role ensures a safe pool and spa environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Enforce pool and spa policies, as well as Whitten UC Pool regulations.
- Monitor swimmers, communicate safety information, and respond to emergencies.
- Apply risk‑management and lifesaving procedures, including CPR and First Aid.
- Assist with swim programs, pool activities, and train new employees as needed.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisory staff.
Required profile
- Current Lifeguard certification.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Ability to work unsupervised, stay alert, and act responsibly.
- Positive attitude with a focus on customer service.

What we offer
- Hourly wage of $17.00
- Flexible schedule: Mon‑Fri 6 am‑7:30 pm, Sat 8 am‑5 pm, Sun 12 pm‑5 pm
