Wind Turbine Technician

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to join its operations team in North Dakota. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on wind turbines, ensuring optimal performance and safety of the assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on turbine generators and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to maximize turbine availability.
• Perform safety analyses, follow industry regulations and use personal protective equipment.
• Document all maintenance actions and performance data accurately.
• Support root‑cause investigations and collaborate with engineers and field crews to improve reliability.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience as a wind turbine technician or in a related electrical role.
• High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s licence and ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb and climb 300‑ft ladders; comfortable working outdoors.
• Certification in medium‑ and high‑voltage equipment is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as required.
