Wellness Nurse (LPN) - Part-Time Overnight

About the role

Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living is hiring a Wellness Nurse (LPN) in Livingston. Led by the community's Health and Wellness Director (RN), the nurse provides direct nursing care to residents with an emphasis on holistic wellness and helps supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the Certified Nursing Assistants. The position is part-time overnight (22-29 hours per week) and per-diem on all shifts, scheduled weekdays and alternating weekends, with all shifts available.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the health, safety and well-being of all residents
• Assist in training and monitoring of medication administration
• Supervise care staff in line with state regulations and community policies
• Maintain clinical quality assurance under federal, state and local standards
• Conduct thorough resident assessments
• Promote high-quality service to residents while demonstrating the company's mission

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current LPN license
• At least 2 years' experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health or a hospital setting preferred
• Ability to work with residents with Alzheimer's or other related dementias
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and knowledge of federal and state regulations and nursing practice
• Physical ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and support residents intermittently, using proper body mechanics
