Weekend Wound Care Nurse

About the role

AVIR Health Group is looking for a Weekend Wound Care Nurse to join a family‑focused team in Texas. The nurse will maintain skin integrity, deliver physician‑prescribed wound treatments, and ensure precise documentation in line with professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and treat wounds to preserve skin integrity.
• Administer physician‑ordered wound care therapies.
• Document all care activities accurately according to regulatory standards.
• Support walk‑in patients daily and contribute to a high‑performing team culture.

Required profile

• Valid Texas Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of wound‑care experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or similar setting.
• Education, training, or certification in infection control and prevention.
• Knowledge of long‑term care operational standards (Federal Register, Conditions of Participation, state regulations).
