Web Developer – UX/UI Designer/Developer

About the role

The Department of Records and Information Services (DORIS) is looking for a motivated Web Developer who will also serve as a UX/UI designer. You will join the Application Development team to create and maintain web applications that provide public access to government records.

Key responsibilities

• Gather requirements, document specifications, and participate in Agile development of web applications.
• Collaborate with project management to develop timelines and effort estimates.
• Research and advise on strategic software‑engineering and information‑management issues.
• Build and maintain migration tools for legacy systems.
• Provide technical assistance to staff and resolve customer issues.
• Develop and maintain applications using Docker containerization on a cloud platform.
• Maintain existing applications, underlying environments, and both in‑house and COTS products.

Required profile

• Professional or vendor certification in database administration.
• Bachelor’s degree plus at least two years of full‑time database administration experience, **or** a high school diploma with six years of IT experience (including two years of database administration), **or** an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications as required.
• Full‑time availability with possible on‑call, weekend, or evening work.
