Web Developer – Shopify & Full-Stack (Cincinnati)

About the role

Encore Talent Solutions is seeking a Web Developer to design, develop, and support customer‑facing websites and business applications, primarily on the Shopify platform. The position starts with a focus on front‑end development and will expand to full‑stack responsibilities, including backend services, APIs, and cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain web applications, websites, and business software solutions.
• Build and customize Shopify Plus themes, templates, reusable sections, and content modules using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Implement website enhancements for usability, accessibility, performance, responsive design, and technical SEO.
• Develop and maintain structured data using JSON‑LD.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and support integrations between Shopify and third‑party systems.
• Support backend development with C#.NET/.NET Core, REST APIs, and Microsoft technologies.
• Create and maintain SQL Server database objects such as tables, views, functions, and stored procedures.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and website issues, providing long‑term solutions.
• Perform unit, regression, and system testing, and provide production support.
• Document technical designs, integration specifications, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with IT, Marketing, eCommerce, Product Data, Sales, Operations, and external vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional web or software development experience.
• Strong front‑end development background with proven Shopify or Shopify Plus expertise.
• Passion for building scalable, high‑performing digital solutions and working cross‑functionally.
