Web Applications Developer II

About the role

The Web Applications Developer II will design, develop, and maintain web functionality and applications for Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. The role involves collaborating with university departments, faculty, and staff to gather requirements and ensure solutions are accessible and responsive.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and develop new and existing web functionality and applications.
• Provide support and maintenance for current web solutions.
• Gather and analyze requirements from university stakeholders.
• Ensure all web features meet accessibility standards.
• Incorporate responsive web design and modern technologies into site development.
• Manage web development using revision control software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least four years of experience in web development/programming with relational databases, dynamic web applications, and responsive design.
• U.S. citizenship due to data‑security requirements.
• Valid motor‑vehicle operator’s license (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Equivalent qualifications may be considered (Associate’s degree + 6 years experience or High School + 8 years experience).
