Water Mitigation Lead Technician

About the role

ServiceMaster Restore is hiring a full-time Water Mitigation Lead Technician in Indianapolis. The role supervises technicians on active restoration jobs, monitors and inspects work to ensure drying, demolition and other restoration activities are completed, and prepares and reviews documentation for customer and insurance purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve work orders, load the appropriate equipment and supplies on the truck and arrive at the job site
• Supervise technicians assigned to the job, ensuring safety and operational standards are met
• Complete assigned jobs according to company processes and carrier standards, maintaining quality control
• Monitor and inspect active residential and/or commercial jobs daily, and inspect completed jobs to obtain customer signatures and request payment when necessary
• Resolve customer issues and communicate job activities with key company staff
• Prepare and review documentation including notes, photos and documents signed by the customer, using software to support insurance reimbursement
• Train new technicians or key operational team members

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Knowledge of the disaster restoration or construction industry
• Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines
• Prepared to stand and walk for long periods, lift, squat, crawl and crouch, and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions

Required skills

• Experience entering data on a tablet or mobile phone
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
• Preferred: ASD (Applied Structural Drying Technician) and WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician) certifications
