Washington Therapist – Severe Mental Illness

About the role

Join CareMind’s Severe Mental Illness program as a licensed therapist providing high‑quality teletherapy to adults with serious mental illness in Washington State. You will work remotely with an integrated care team, delivering evidence‑based psychotherapy and coordinating comprehensive care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual and group teletherapy using CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing and trauma‑informed approaches.
• Conduct clinical risk stratification, administer validated assessments, and adjust treatment plans based on member acuity.
• Lead crisis management, perform real‑time risk assessments and safety planning for high‑acuity cases.
• Document all services within 24 hours using DAP format and maintain accurate EMR records.
• Collaborate with Behavioral Health Support Specialists and engage caregivers and community resources.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work or related field.
• Current Washington State independent behavioral health license (LICSW, LMHC or LMFT).
• Minimum two years of experience working with adults with severe mental illness.
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid practices and local community resources.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing and trauma‑informed care.
• Experience with clinical assessments and risk stratification tools.
• Strong documentation skills using DAP format and EMR systems.

• Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 per year (USD) depending on location.
