Warehouse Supervisor - 3rd Shift

About the role

The Distribution Warehouse Supervisor (3rd shift) reports to the Assistant General Manager and supervises an assigned functional area linked to receiving, order fulfillment or shipping. The role sets priorities, keeps a visible presence on the floor, removes barriers to safe and timely work and holds the team accountable for quality, productivity, service and inventory accuracy. The position is onsite in Byhalia, Mississippi.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and communicate workload, staffing assignments and service priorities, adjusting resources as conditions change.
• Supervise warehouse associates completing daily activities according to schedule and procedures.
• Use the WMS to track orders, inventory and labor, keeping records and shift reports accurate.
• Train and coach Team Leaders, and conduct performance appraisals for hourly associates, providing coaching and development opportunities.
• Hold daily shift handoff meetings to ensure operational continuity.
• Lead safe work practices, required training and incident reporting with the site HSE leader, and take part in facility-wide improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of distribution or manufacturing supervision experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or a related field preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical and well organized.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Blue Yonder or another WMS.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma problem-solving tools.
