Warehouse & Distribution Operator I

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Operator I to support its warehouse and distribution operations at the Houston manufacturing facility. The role focuses on handling material flow, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring shipments are prepared and dispatched efficiently in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual and operational tasks in the warehouse and distribution center to keep processes running smoothly.
• Optimize storage layout and material flow while adhering to safety standards.
• Manage inventory levels, track stock, and coordinate outbound shipments.
• Operate material‑handling equipment in accordance with certification requirements.
• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures and GxP regulations, documenting activities accurately.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and maintain high quality and reliability standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English.
• Willingness to work a C‑shift (12‑hour) schedule, Friday‑Sunday 4 AM‑4 PM CST and alternating Thursdays.
• Up to 10 % travel; onsite work in Houston, TX.

Required skills

• Equipment operation (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) with required certification.
