Travel Agent - Amadeus Specialist

About the role

Exoticca is an online travel agency focused on long-distance dream trips, and its Flight Operations team is looking for a GDS Specialist (Amadeus) to support daily travel operations. The role handles flight changes, cancellations and refunds, escalates GDS issues, works with land suppliers and supports customers with emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and support travel operations tasks such as flight changes, cancellation requests and refund processes.
• Manage, escalate and follow up GDS issues and cases, and deal with negotiated rates and advanced refunds in GDS.
• Work directly with land suppliers for pre- and post-booking requests.
• Handle ARC PED procedures, including reviewing and owning ticketing and reporting errors and closing the sales period accurately.
• Support customers in destination with emergency issues via different contact channels.
• Occasionally provide administrative office support, including correspondence, cheque processing and day-to-day coordination.

Required profile

• Residency in Houston or its surroundings is a must.
• Fluent English; additional languages such as French or Spanish are considered.
• Preferred: at least 2 years of customer support experience in the travel industry, preferably including flights, and a proven record in fast-growing environments.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Amadeus / GDS.
• Proven experience handling negotiated fares and commissions in GDS.
• ARC certification.
• Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
