VP, Product Experience
horizonmedia · New York
Job description
About the role
Horizon Media is hiring a Vice President of Product to lead a set of product areas within its Product Experience pillar, with a focus on user experience, platform role-based access controls (RBAC) and customer delight. This is a hands-on, build-and-ship leadership role for a senior product executive with a career in ad tech, who treats UX as the main lever for platform differentiation and retention. The VP owns strategy, roadmap and execution across the surfaces used by advertisers, publishers, traders and operators, and the permissioning fabric (RBAC, entitlements, multi-tenant access) that lets the platform scale safely for enterprise customers. It is a foundational hire that sets the trajectory for the next two years of platform delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Own the UX strategy and quality bar for the Product Experience surfaces, partnering with Design from the first sketch
- Lead the platform-wide RBAC and entitlements model, defining how teams, agencies, holdcos, advertisers and partners get the right access to the right data
- Define and own metrics for customer delight: adoption, activation, NPS, retention, time-to-value and support deflection
- Manage Directors, Senior PMs, PMs and analysts, and set a high standard for product craft and operating cadence
- Partner with Engineering on architecture and identity, and run discovery and design partnerships with enterprise clients
- Connect product work to advertiser yield, publisher revenue, operator efficiency and platform reliability
- Bake privacy, governance and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, evolving identity standards) into the product
- Represent the product areas internally to leadership and externally to clients, partners and the ad tech community, and anticipate shifts such as signal loss, retail media, CTV and AI-native buying
Required profile
- 12+ years in product management, including 3+ years at VP level leading multiple teams in an ad tech or enterprise platform environment
- Deep ad tech experience: DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, identity, audience activation, measurement, programmatic, RTB, CTV and retail media
- Track record of building and scaling multi-tenant platforms and of shipping RBAC, entitlements or permissioning systems for enterprise SaaS
- Design-led, user-centered approach, with proven results on adoption, activation, NPS, retention and time-to-value
- Strong technical fluency with engineering on architecture, data modeling, APIs and identity
- Proven success hiring, developing and retaining senior product talent, and exceptional written and verbal communication
What we offer
- Salary range of $220,000 - $275,000, with a discretionary bonus
- Health, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, company-paid holidays and unlimited PTO
- Mental health and wellness resources, pet insurance, childcare resources, identity theft insurance, fertility assistance and fitness reimbursement
- Hybrid work arrangement
