VP of Operations – Plant Performance Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead plant performance and operational excellence at our manufacturing facility. The role oversees day‑to‑day production, warehouse, shipping and receiving activities while fostering a culture of accountability and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily plant operations across production, warehouse, shipping and receiving to ensure efficient execution.
• Provide leadership and coaching to operational managers, setting expectations and supporting their development.
• Maintain a safe, compliant workplace by overseeing environmental standards, safety practices and required training.
• Utilize operational systems, including Dynamics 365, to monitor performance, track records and generate reports.
• Analyze production output, equipment usage and material processing data to identify trends and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate response to machinery issues with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime.
• Ensure an organized plant floor with high standards for cleanliness, workflow and housekeeping.
• Collaborate with administrative, commercial, accounting and IT teams to support site‑wide business operations.
• Assist with hiring activities, employee file maintenance, training documentation and employee engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading operations in a manufacturing, processing or plant‑based environment.
• Strong background in overseeing production, warehouse or floor‑level activities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead managers and build accountability across multiple functions.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, environmental compliance and employee training practices.
• Comfortable analyzing operational data and using reports to drive process improvements.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across operations, administration, finance, IT and HR.
