2nd Shift Production Supervisor – Manufacturing

About the role

Excelitas Technologies is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing activities at its Billerica, MA facility. The role oversees production to meet goals for quality, cost, and schedule while ensuring a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date manufacturing procedures, track employee attendance, and conduct performance reviews.
• Monitor work‑in‑process and component inventory, ensure production aligns with the plan, and log activity in the ERP system.
• Enforce GMP and safety standards, communicate issues to planning, management, and purchasing, and suggest process improvements.
• Balance staffing, manage WIP inventories, and coordinate group‑leader and cross‑departmental activities.

Required profile

• BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven leadership with a proactive attitude and strong written English communication.
• Desirable: APICS certification, Lean and 5S training.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Experience with ERP systems for production tracking.
• Lean manufacturing principles.
• APICS certification.
• 5S methodology.
