VP – Global Transaction Banking Leveraged Finance Structured Sales Specialist

About the role

Santander is seeking a senior specialist to lead the origination of structured trade and working‑capital solutions for its leveraged‑finance client base. The role focuses on designing and delivering complex financing products such as securitizations, receivables repos, inventory finance and contract monetisation.

Key responsibilities

• Drive growth of trade and working‑capital solutions for leveraged‑finance clients, including portfolio companies of financial sponsors.
• Build and maintain relationships with investment‑banking and sponsor‑coverage teams to provide structuring and product support.
• Manage the full deal‑origination process, preparing commitment letters, term sheets, pitch books and related documentation.
• Develop deep expertise in customised financing structures involving esoteric asset classes such as trade receivables and unperformed customer contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Expert knowledge of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) products, especially export, agency finance and structured trade finance (SCF, lending, LC).
• Advanced understanding of securitisation, tranching and structured finance transactions, with emphasis on trade‑receivable securitisation.
• Proven ability to identify high‑quality assets within corporate structures and monetise them without affecting senior credit agreements.
