VP Corporate Controller

About the role

This VP Corporate Controller position is a builder’s role within a private‑equity‑backed manufacturing organization in the Greater Tampa Bay area. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a large, multi‑functional accounting team and drive a transformation of the accounting function to support rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full record‑to‑report cycle, including multi‑entity consolidation, intercompany accounting, financial statement preparation, and external audit coordination.
• Design, implement, and monitor SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
• Lead process‑improvement and automation initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Develop and mentor a team of 25+ accounting professionals across corporate, shared services, and operational finance.
• Provide strategic advisory to the CFO on financial health, strategy, and organizational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Proven experience at VP or Corporate Controller level in a PE‑backed environment.
• Background in manufacturing at a large, complex organization.
• Strong US GAAP expertise with SOX credentials.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large accounting teams and drive large‑scale automation.
• Hands‑on mindset combined with strategic thinking.
