VP Business Development, Home Health

About the role

Amedisys, part of the Optum family of businesses, provides home health, hospice and community-based services. As Vice President Business Development for the Raleigh area, you will develop and execute the overall sales strategy for the assigned region.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage sales performance goals for the region
• Lead and develop a regional sales team, giving them the training and resources needed to drive business from physicians, facilities and other referral sources, and build a strong pipeline of talent
• Create and direct the region's enterprise growth strategy, partnering with health care providers to ensure a continuum of care and innovating new growth strategies
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure successful execution of the region's operational and growth strategy
• Serve as a member of the regional executive management team, maintaining compliance, performance and HR guidelines
• Cultivate an engaged culture, coach and mentor employees, hold them accountable for goals and redirect performance when needed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, health profession or related field, or Licensed Registered Nurse
• 5+ years of healthcare sales management experience
• 8+ years of healthcare sales experience
• Preferred: home health and/or hospice experience

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
