Visual Merchandising Associate

About the role

1915 South, owner of 41 Ashley furniture stores and 4 distribution centers across the southeast, is hiring a Visual Merchandising Associate in Baton Rouge. The associate executes visual and merchandising plans in-store to support the selling process and enhance the guest experience, working closely with Visual leadership, Sales teams and Warehouse Associates so that showroom floors stay set to plan and optimized for product discovery.

Key responsibilities

• Execute visual merchandising plans and floor sets as directed by Visual Managers and Directors, accurately and on time.
• Maintain a high percentage of floor-set alignment to plan so product placement supports merchandising and brand strategy.
• Train and coach Warehouse Associates on floor plans and execution standards.
• Communicate visual updates, product additions and floor changes to the Sales team.
• Ensure showroom presentation optimizes guest flow, product discovery and key selling priorities.
• Uphold visual standards, cleanliness and brand presentation across assigned departments.
• Identify execution challenges and give feedback to Visual Leadership to improve processes.
• Support seasonal transitions, major floor resets and new product launches.
• Partner with Store Leadership on priorities, timelines and execution strategies.
• Monitor product performance and share insights to inform layout adjustments and product recommendations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; retail or visual merchandising education preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail or visual merchandising experience, ideally in a furniture or large-format environment.
• Able to safely lift, move and position furniture and fixtures, stand for long periods and travel up to 40% of the time.
• Schedule: weekdays, with weekends as needed.
