About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Visiting Physical Therapy (PT) student to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed PT. This onsite, short‑term position offers hands‑on clinical experience in a collaborative health‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and therapeutic interventions under licensed supervision.
• Assist in patient assessments, treatment planning, and progress documentation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions.
• Maintain compliance with UAMS safety protocols, including COVID‑19 vaccination requirements.

Required profile

• Current enrollment in an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Affiliation agreement with the accredited DPT program.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption.
