Virtual CIO (vCIO) Executive Consultant

About the role

The vCIO – Executive Consultant provides virtual CIO services to Moser clients, delivering strategic IT leadership, governance, and roadmap development as an extension of senior Moser leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to client executives, participating in quarterly and annual IT planning, budgeting, and roadmap sessions.
• Lead development and delivery of multi‑year IT strategic plans, risk registers, business continuity plans, and performance dashboards.
• Facilitate executive workshops to align IT initiatives with business goals, compliance, and growth strategies.
• Partner with Moser Directors and Procurement Services to align service delivery and vendor management strategies.
• Collaborate across Moser’s professional services divisions to design integrated client solutions.
• Mentor Client Solutions Managers on engagement management and professional development.
• Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, including change control, vendor management, and lifecycle planning.
• Contribute to thought leadership through whitepapers, client briefings, and speaking engagements.

Required profile

• 10+ years in IT leadership roles such as CIO, VP of IT, or IT Director.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or certifications (ITIL, CISSP, TOGAF) preferred.
• Proven experience designing and executing IT strategy in complex environments.
• Strong communication and influence with C‑suite and board members.
• Experience mentoring IT managers or consultants and managing service lines.
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and client relationship skills.
