Violin / Strings Teacher

About the role

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional violin/strings instructor to teach part‑time at Rochester School of Music. The role requires in‑person instruction and offers flexible scheduling within the school’s open hours.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one and group violin/strings lessons to students of various skill levels.
• Set and maintain a consistent availability schedule that aligns with school and student needs.
• Ensure punctuality and reliable transportation for each teaching session.
• Pass a routine background check prior to employment.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student progress and school operations.

Required profile

• Degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
• Strong appreciation for punctuality and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a routine background check.
